Leak Points to OnePlus Turbo Pro Running Unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro
A Weibo leak reported by Android Authority says OnePlus is building a Turbo Pro handset around Qualcomm's unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro, with a 200MP camera, a 185Hz display and a 9,000mAh battery.
The specifications circulated by leaker Digital Chat Station in a Weibo post that has since been edited describe a 6.78-inch display with 1.5K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. The same post lists a 200MP primary camera and an external cooling fan offered as an accessory. The battery is put at 9,000mAh, with engineering samples said to reach 10,000mAh. The refresh rate figure differs slightly within the original report, whose summary line cited 186Hz while the body of the article said 185Hz.
The Turbo line has so far been sold in China, but the report says this model could be offered outside that market. OnePlus has not commented on the leak, and Qualcomm has not announced a chip under the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro name.
The rumor follows a difficult year for OnePlus. The company shut down its operations in the United States and in Europe during 2026, with parent company OPPO taking over service operations in Europe. It has continued to release hardware in China, including the OnePlus 16, and the reported Turbo Pro would extend that lineup with a device positioned below its flagship phones.
None of the specifications have been confirmed, and leaker posts of this kind often change before a product launch. The timing of any announcement, and whether the phone reaches markets outside China, remains unknown.
