Leak reveals full specs for Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and Ultra
A leak may have revealed full specs for Samsung's Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and Ultra, including displays, memory, battery, cameras and pricing, ahead of an expected Oct. 7 launch.
The two tablets are said to share a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 (MT6993) processor and run One UI 9.0 out of the box. The Plus is listed with a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display at 2800 x 1752 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Ultra is listed with a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at 2960 x 1848 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Memory and storage differ by model. The Plus is said to come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Ultra is said to offer 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Both models reportedly include a microSD card slot with support for up to 2TB of expansion.
Battery capacity also differs. The Plus is reported to have a 10,600mAh battery, up from 10,090mAh on its predecessor, while the Ultra is said to keep an 11,600mAh battery. Both are listed with fast charging up to 45W. The Plus is reported to weigh 555 grams, down from 571 grams on the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, while the Ultra is said to remain at 693 grams.
Camera setups are similar at the front. Both models are listed with a 12MP front camera. The Plus is said to have a 13MP rear camera, while the Ultra is said to add an 8MP ultrawide rear camera alongside a 13MP rear camera. The leak also lists two speakers for the Plus and four speakers for the Ultra. Both tablets are said to carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Accessories and availability details are less complete. The report says the Plus will include an S Pen, but it does not mention an S Pen for the Ultra.
