Leaked Fitbit Edge Would Add a Screen to the Screen-Free Fitbit Air
Images and specs for a reported Fitbit Edge have surfaced, describing a tracker with seven-day battery life, GPS and a display that runs apps such as Google Maps and YouTube Music.
The leak, published by Android Headlines and reported by TechRadar, lists up to seven days of battery life, GPS, elevation tracking, automatic activity tracking and support for both Android and iOS — the same core feature set as the Fitbit Air, which launched earlier this year without a screen.
The display is what separates the two devices. According to the leak, the Fitbit Edge can run a small set of apps, including Google Maps, YouTube Music and Find My Phone, and can show notifications on the wrist. Step counts and heart rate would also be viewable directly on the device rather than through a paired phone.
That places the Edge between two existing products in Google's lineup. The screen-free Air sits below it, while the Google Pixel Watch 5 offers fuller smartwatch capabilities but shorter battery life and no iOS support. Android Headlines also suggested the Edge could be viewed as a successor to the Fitbit Charge line, which has not received a new model since 2023.
The leak states the Fitbit Edge will be offered in black, green and orange, with additional color options possible later.
Android Headlines did not report any internal information on pricing or a release date, and instead speculated that the device could launch this month so that it reaches shelves in time for the holiday season. The site estimated a price between $149 (roughly £110 or AU$215) and $199 (around £150 or AU$285).
Google has concentrated its recent wearable efforts on the Pixel Watch family, though it has continued to release Fitbit-branded trackers. The Fitbit Air, which omits a screen in favor of longer battery life and a lower price, arrived earlier this year. Neither Google nor Fitbit has confirmed the existence of the Edge, and the specifications and pricing described in the leak remain unverified.

The Fitbit Edge has been reported in a leak that describes a tracker combining the Fitbit Air's sensor and battery profile with an added screen capable of running Google Maps, YouTube Music and Find My Phone. Pricing and release timing remain unconfirmed, with Android Headlines speculating a launch as early as this month at a possible $149 to $199.
