Leaked Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Renders Show Familiar Design and 88-Hour Battery Rating

Leaked renders and EU energy labels indicate Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra would keep a familiar design and offer battery endurance rated at 88 hours 54 minutes, while the Plus is rated at 80 hours 34 minutes.

The new renders, shared on X by leaker Evan Blass, show the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra from the front, rear and sides, along with an S Pen. The tablet appears to stick closely to last year’s design. It retains slim bezels, a small waterdrop-style notch along one edge of the display, and two rear cameras placed individually rather than inside a larger camera island. The images match an earlier leaked image of the Tab S12 Ultra, which already suggested Samsung was not planning a major visual overhaul.

The bigger changes are expected inside. An earlier benchmark leak pointed to a major performance boost, while more recent specifications revealed a 14.6-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, an 11,600mAh battery, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

Leaker Roland Quandt also shared what he said were Samsung-sourced EU Energy Labels for the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, covering both Wi-Fi and 5G versions. The labels identify the SM-X840 and SM-X846B as Tab S12 Plus variants, while the SM-X940 and SM-X946B correspond to the Tab S12 Ultra. According to the labels, the Tab S12 Ultra delivers 88 hours and 54 minutes of battery life under the EU test, compared with 80 hours and 34 minutes for the Plus.

All four versions receive a G energy-efficiency grade, a C repairability rating and an E drop-resistance rating, according to the leaked labels. They also carry IP68 protection and batteries rated for 1,200 charge cycles.

With detailed renders, benchmarks, specifications and now regulatory information piling up, Samsung may not have much left to keep secret before the rumored October launch.
