Lego PlayStation Goes on Sale October 1 at PlayStation Direct and Lego.com Early Access

The Lego PlayStation, a brick-built replica of the original PS1, is on sale at PlayStation Direct and in early access at Lego.com for Lego Insiders, with a wider release on October 4 and a free Lego Astro Bot for orders placed before October 7.

The set has no separate preorder window, so its on-sale date is also its launch date, and buyers should expect to receive the kit shortly after ordering. Lego Insiders can buy it now; everyone else must wait for the wider sale, which begins on October 4 at the Lego Store and at other select retailers.

Orders placed during launch week, before October 7, come with a free Lego Astro Bot while stocks last. TechRadar described the figure as a small bonus item added to qualifying purchases.

The kit recreates the PS1 in Lego bricks and includes dioramas referencing Gran Turismo and Ape Escape, TechRadar said.

In the United States, TechRadar lists PlayStation Direct as the first place to check and reported that availability there was holding steady at the time of writing. The official Lego store is the other route during the early access period, though non-members cannot buy there until October 4. Other US retailers named by TechRadar include Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop and Target, where readers are directed to stock-check links rather than confirmed inventory.

In the UK, PlayStation Direct also had the set available, and TechRadar reported that stock was remaining strong. TG Jones listed the set at £140, according to the article, which also points to Amazon, Argos, Smyths Toys, Currys and Very as further UK options. The free Lego Astro Bot offer applies to orders placed at PlayStation Direct and the Lego store while stocks last or until October 7.

TechRadar's stock information reflects checks made at the time of publication and may change.
