Lego PlayStation Retro Console Kit Set for October 1 Launch

TechRadar reported that the Lego PlayStation will not have a preorder phase. Because the set goes on sale on the same date it launches, buyers should expect to receive it shortly after ordering. The Lego.com early access requires a free Lego Insiders account, which can be created before launch.

In the United States, TechRadar lists PlayStation Direct, Lego, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop and Target as retailers to follow for availability. Lego lists the set at $179.99 in the US. In the UK, the listed retailers are PlayStation Direct, Lego, TG Jones, Amazon, Argos, Smyths Toys, Currys and Very. Lego lists the UK price at £139.99, and TG Jones lists it at £140.

After the Lego Insiders early access period, TechRadar reported that the Lego PlayStation will be made widely available on the Lego Store and at other select retailers on October 4. Other retailers should also have the set available from October 4. TechRadar said it is tracking stock updates and availability in live coverage.

The kit is the latest Lego and gaming collaboration and is designed as a retro console replica. TechRadar described the Lego PlayStation as a retro kit and said it expected it to be popular. The publication said its senior deals editor, who has covered launches such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X as well as limited-edition consoles, controllers, games and accessories, is handling the coverage.
