Lenovo cuts $550 off Yoga Slim 7x Snapdragon laptop

Lenovo has cut $550 from the Yoga Slim 7x, bringing the Snapdragon laptop to $1,550. The configuration includes 32GB RAM, a 1TB SSD and a 14-inch OLED display, with TechRadar praising its thin design and nearly 24-hour battery life.

TechRadar, which reviewed the Yoga Slim 7x and gave it four stars, described it as possibly the thinnest laptop it has ever tested, with build quality it called "exquisite." In its tests, the battery lasted just under 24 hours. The publication said the laptop handled office software, multi-tab browsing and movie streaming, and it was even able to run Cyberpunk 2077 on low settings. TechRadar said the machine is best suited to productivity with casual gaming on the side, and for content creation it is more appropriate for design and photo editing than full-scale video production. The 14-inch Full HD OLED display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, according to the review.

The Yoga Slim 7x measures 0.55 by 12.28 by 8.70 inches and weighs 2.58 pounds. TechRadar said it is aimed at remote workers, commuting professionals and students who want a premium-quality laptop that is thin and backpack-friendly.

On value, TechRadar said most Snapdragon-powered laptops cost around $1,100 to $1,300, but those base configurations usually have 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage. The discounted Yoga Slim 7x doubles both to 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, which TechRadar said justifies the $1,550 price.

TechRadar said buyers should consider the Yoga Slim 7x if they want a lightweight ultraportable for work and study. It advised skipping the laptop if they need dedicated graphics performance for video editing, 3D rendering or gaming.

The deal is available at Lenovo. TechRadar did not specify an end date for the discount.
