Lofi Girl Launches Lofi House Station and Vinyl Compilation

The channel streams on YouTube, just like the brand's other affiliated channels. Its music is made by humans and not generative AI, which Engadget said has been a staple of Lofi Girl since the brand came on the scene. The Lofi Records compilation spotlights artists including Akraam, lofi cassette, KBS, Nabuko and others. It is available to stream on YouTube Music, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music and most other major platforms.

A physical release is also coming. Lofi Records has released dozens of vinyl collections, and they tend to sell out quickly, according to Engadget. Pre-orders for the new compilation are open now.

Lofi House is not hosted by the iconic Lofi Girl, whose name is Jade. The brand instead introduced a fictional lofi character named Julien Maison, also known as Lofi Teacher. He is described as a 30-year-old high-school biology teacher and "the kind of teacher students remember as the cool one." He also has a fairly robust mustache. Jade has been missing from the original stream, a trick the brand has pulled before ahead of launching a new channel.

The original Lofi Girl YouTube channel has been around for more than a decade and has nearly 16 million followers. Thousands of people watch the stream at any given moment, giving artists significant exposure. The brand has introduced other channels before, including a synthwave station hosted by Lofi Boy, along with channels for classical, hip-hop, jazz and other genres.

As of the Engadget report, there is still no Lofi Death Metal channel. Engadget said this is probably because it is very hard to study with that playing in the background.
