LogicMonitor Pushes AI-Driven Observability Toward Autonomous IT at Chicago Elevate Event
At its Elevate event in Chicago, LogicMonitor outlined AI-governed automation for enterprise observability, citing a 98% cut in alert noise at GlobalFoundries and efficiency gains among managed service providers.
The company pointed to customer results as evidence the approach is producing measurable gains. GlobalFoundries reported a 98% reduction in alert noise through LogicMonitor's Edwin AI, while managed service providers at the event described improvements in incident resolution and engineering efficiency, SiliconANGLE reported.
"Observability is becoming an important foundation for both human decision-making as well as autonomous workflows," Paul Nashawaty, practice lead and principal analyst for application development at theCUBE Research, said during the event. "The opportunity is to connect performance, availability, resources utilization, as well as costs, so that engineering teams can understand operational trade-offs behind the problem."
Nashawaty spoke with technology executives, customers and partners at the event. Coverage by theCUBE examined how Edwin AI, OpenTelemetry, application dependency mapping and governed automation are changing enterprise operations, along with digital experience monitoring, the shifting role of managed service providers and the practical difficulty of moving AI from experimentation into production.
SiliconANGLE reported eight takeaways from the event. The first centered on LogicMonitor's strategy of moving observability away from static dashboards and continuous alerts toward governed automation. Steven Dickens, chief executive officer of HyperFRAME Research, joined Nashawaty to assess the keynote announcements and the company's five strategic pillars, which include unified context, AI-governed action and trust. Their discussion covered how OpenTelemetry, Edwin AI and Catchpoint feed into LogicMonitor's effort to connect hybrid environments and deliver insights into existing workflows. Dickens said customer adoption, governance and execution will determine whether the roadmap produces measurable operational value.
A second theme was the rise of autonomous IT as enterprises look to cut operational complexity, automate incident resolution and build confidence in AI-driven systems. Karthik Sj, LogicMonitor's chief artificial intelligence officer, and Garth Fort, its chief product officer, described a progressive approach that begins with trusted, low-risk automation and expands from there. The company's latest Edwin AI enhancements add multi-agent investigations, integrations with existing workflows and governed automation, while the Catchpoint integration and governance controls are intended to improve visibility into application performance without removing oversight of autonomous agents.
On workforce change, Alyene Schneidewind, LogicMonitor's chief performance officer, said the company reached 95% employee adoption of ChatGPT within four months, with employees building more than 2,000 custom GPTs in the first year. She said the internal effort has moved toward redesigning workflows and measuring business outcomes, including an AI sales assistant that saves employees half a day each week. Governance, cross-functional collaboration and new approaches to workforce development were cited as factors in how teams operate and how AI investment is tied to business value.
Managed service providers, meanwhile, are reworking traditional IT operations as AI automation offers ways to cut costs, speed incident resolution and free technical staff for higher-value work. John Grosshans, president of field operations at LogicMonitor, said AI-powered observability and autonomous workflows are helping organizations move from reactive support toward more proactive service delivery.
SiliconANGLE reported that the event's push toward autonomous IT leaves open questions about adoption, trust and operational oversight.
Editor's Summary
LogicMonitor used its Elevate event in Chicago to promote AI-driven observability and governed automation, citing a 98% reduction in alert noise at GlobalFoundries and gains in incident resolution among managed service providers. Executives from LogicMonitor, HyperFRAME Research and theCUBE Research framed unified context, AI-governed action and trust as the pillars of the strategy, while also pointing to internal adoption figures such as 95% employee use of ChatGPT within four months. Questions about customer adoption, governance and oversight remain unresolved as the company moves AI capabilities from testing into production.
