Logitech G releases Pro X3 Superstrike gaming mouse with new chipset and 48,000 DPI sensor

The Pro X3 keeps the same 61g weight as the X2 but has been reworked internally for more even weight distribution. TechRadar reported that the change followed feedback from esports professionals who complained the original was too front-heavy. The mouse uses a new chipset called NxLOGI, with power efficiency as a major focus. Logitech claims the Pro X3 Superstrike can last more than 135 hours per charge, a 45-hour increase over the X2.

The sensor supports up to 48,000 DPI, compared with 44,000 DPI on the previous model. The Pro X3 retains an up to 8,000Hz wireless report rate, and Logitech now offers that report rate in wired mode as well. The original Pro X2 Superstrike received a five-star review from TechRadar, which called it a "revolutionary" innovation and praised its Haptic Inductive Trigger System switches. The HITS switches rely on electromagnetic current and let users customize the actuation point of each click and the amount of resistance when pressing down.

On the software side, the Pro X3 adds Pro Presets in the compatible Logitech G Hub app. The presets are inspired by settings used by esports players including m0NESY and ShowMaker.

The Pro X3 Superstrike is priced at $199.99 / £169.99 / AU$299.95. That is $20 and £10 more than the X2, although the Australian price is unchanged. A Logitech representative told TechRadar that the X2 Superstrike will remain on sale alongside the X3 for a time as an alternative for buyers who want something cheaper.
