Lyria 3.5 now available in Gemini app and API

Google's Lyria 3.5 music model expands beyond Flow Music to the Gemini app and API, adding short and long track options for users.

With the expansion, Gemini app users can now choose between short and long tracks. Google has also added new templates, saying they provide inspiration for getting started. The rollout makes it easier to select or describe a genre and to choose between vocal and instrumental styles.

Lyria 3.5 is now accessible on the web, mobile, and Flow Music. Developers can also reach the model through Google AI Studio and Google Vids.

The model was designed to produce richer and more complex melodic structures. Android Authority reported that it better adheres to prompts, is more structurally aware, and improves pronunciation. Vocals are described as more realistic and emotionally nuanced.
