Mayday: Air Disaster Free on Tubi in U.S., Including Flydubai Episode
Tubi streams Mayday free in the U.S., including Season 22's Flydubai Flight 981 episode 'Holding Pattern.'
TechRadar reports that Tubi, a free ad-supported streaming service, carries multiple seasons of the series, which is also known as Air Crash Investigation in some territories and Air Disasters in the United States. The U.S. Tubi catalogue currently contains Seasons 1–5, 7, 9, 11, 13–19 and 22, and the Season 22 premiere page describes the Flydubai 981 episode. Viewers can access Tubi through the Tubi.tv website or the Tubi app for iOS and Android. Registration is required, but the service does not charge for watching the Mayday episodes.
Outside the United States, the free Tubi option is not available for Mayday. TechRadar says Tubi operates in 11 countries, but it is only broadcasting the show free in the U.S. Travelers or viewers working abroad who want to use Tubi need a VPN, according to the guide, which recommends NordVPN and cites a 75% discount, 30-day money-back guarantee and 24/7 support. The suggested steps are to install a VPN, choose a U.S. location such as New York, then sign in to Tubi and watch.
In the UK, TechRadar says the first 11 seasons of Mayday: Air Crash are available on Amazon Prime Video, but Tubi does not offer them free. The UK Amazon Prime Video catalogue does not include later seasons, including the Flydubai episode “Holding Pattern.” In Australia, three seasons are on Disney+ and 11 seasons are on Amazon Prime Video. Disney+ has 10 episodes of Season 22, including “Holding Pattern,” according to the guide.
Tubi can be watched on a range of devices, including the web, iOS and Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Android TV, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series S and X, and smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, Hisense and Vizio, TechRadar says. The guide also notes that the documentary series uses different titles across countries and broadcasters, so season and episode numbering can differ between streaming platforms.
Flydubai Flight 981 was a Boeing 737-800 flying from Dubai to Rostov-on-Don, Russia, on March 19, 2016, according to the article. After aborting a second landing attempt in poor weather, the aircraft entered a rapid descent and crashed near the runway. All 62 people on board, 55 passengers and seven crew members, were killed. The accident and the investigation that followed are reconstructed in the Mayday episode “Holding Pattern.”
