Meshy Ranked No. 31 on a16z Consumer AI Revenue Top 50, Only AI 3D Company on List
Meshy ranked No. 31 on a16z's first consumer AI revenue Top 50 and was the only AI 3D company, citing over $100M ARR and a $1.5B valuation.
The ranking was released with a16z's seventh edition of its Top 100 AI Consumer Apps report, according to QuantumBit. Earlier editions ranked AI products by website visits and mobile activity; this edition added a revenue list for the first time, using U.S. consumer card spending data tracked by data firm YipitData.
a16z said in the report that several leading creative products on the revenue list are built on proprietary models. Even as general-purpose models improve in image and video generation, consumers continue to pay for specialized creative tools, the firm said. Meshy develops its own multimodal models for 3D generation. Its inclusion indicates that AI 3D has become an independent paid category alongside language, image, video and music, the company said.
“It is an honor for Meshy to be the only AI 3D company on this list, which shows that 3D has become a category users are willing to pay for,” said Pan Fei, Meshy's vice president of growth. “Every day, many artists, studios and creators use Meshy to turn ideas into 3D works in minutes. We believe 3D will be the next great creative medium, and our mission is to make it easy for everyone to create in 3D.”
The ranking follows a period of rapid growth for Meshy. The company recently said its annual recurring revenue has exceeded $100 million. In July 2026, it closed a nearly $400 million Series B round at a post-money valuation of $1.5 billion, which the company describes as the largest funding round in AI 3D to date.
Meshy builds multimodal foundation models for AI-driven 3D generation, turning text and images into production-grade 3D assets for games, film and 3D printing. The company was founded by Ethan Hu, who holds a PhD from MIT, and says it has more than 15 million registered users worldwide.
