Meta Expands Muse With Email, Video Calls, and Computer Use, Plans Smart Glasses Version
Meta is adding email, video calls, and computer use to its Muse AI agent, with a smart-glasses version planned.
Muse agents will get their own email addresses that they can use to accomplish tasks, The Verge reported. Users will also be able to communicate with their Muse agent through those new email addresses. In addition, the recently launched Muse Mac app will gain the ability to use your computer, the report said.
Meta is also adding video calls as another way to interact with Muse. Since its recent launch, the primary way to talk with Muse has been through a chat interface, but users will soon be able to have live video conversations with their Muse avatar, according to The Verge. Meta will let users adjust how the avatar sounds, building on existing customization of how it looks, and a new Muse Realtime Avatar model will inform how it moves.
Muse launched earlier this month and has topped the App Store charts, The Verge reported. The report said Muse was downloaded more than ChatGPT on mobile in its first 12 days, and that Meta appears to be capitalizing on that popularity by quickly introducing the videocalling features.
Meta plans to launch Muse on its smart glasses in the coming months, according to the report. That version will let users talk to Muse about what they are looking at while wearing the glasses.
The report did not include a precise release date, pricing, or regional availability for the new features.
