Meta’s Muse Charm will interact with nearby Charms, Bloomberg report says

Meta’s handheld Muse AI Charm will recognize and interact with nearby Charms when it launches later this year, according to Bloomberg. The device is expected to include a 5G modem, a two-inch OLED touchscreen, cameras and a fingerprint sensor, with a December launch target and no confirmed pricing.

The 5G modem means users will not need to connect to Wi-Fi to interact with the Muse AI agent, according to Bloomberg. The Charm will have a two-inch OLED touchscreen, a new operating system, and a fingerprint sensor that users can use to start interacting with Muse AI.

Bloomberg also reported that the Charm will have cameras designed for taking photos and videos and for giving Muse visual information about its surroundings. It will include built-in speakers, microphones, and a USB-C charging port, and it will support music and video playback. Users will be able to set up the device through Meta’s Muse app on iOS or Android.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the company plans to launch the device “in time for the holidays in December,” but he did not confirm pricing information. Sources told Bloomberg that the Charm will likely cost as much as a smartwatch, though Meta has not determined mobile carrier fees for 5G access.
