Metaview Raises $60M Series C to Expand AI Recruiting Agents

Metaview Labs raised $60 million in a Series C led by Insight Partners, lifting total funding to $110 million, and launched fillmore, an autonomous recruiting agent that runs inside Slack.

GV, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Intrepid Growth Partners, Plural and Garuda Ventures also participated in the round, the company said.

Metaview was founded in 2018 by former Uber Technologies Inc. and Palantir Technologies Inc. employees Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, who serve as chief executive and chief technology officer. In a blog post announcing the raise, Magos said the recruiting industry is ready for what he called a "Claude Code moment," arguing that recruiters will follow the path software engineers have taken from writing code to orchestrating AI agents.

The company sells AI agents that handle job advertising, candidate sourcing and screening, resume and cover letter review, and initial interviews. Magos said the agents have conducted more than six million interviews. Interview questions and job qualification criteria are set by humans, and after an interview the agents convert a candidate's responses into notes that human reviewers use to build shortlists for in-person meetings.

Magos described recruiting as hard, laborious work that has seen minimal technological change. He said companies typically scale recruiting teams during hiring spikes and dismantle them afterward, a cycle he called expensive, ineffective and painful. He also cited heavier application volume, saying applications per recruiter have risen 412 percent, leaving recruiters to process large queues of applications, search profiles, write outreach, schedule screens, chase interview feedback and move information between systems.

More than 7,000 companies now use Metaview's agents, according to Magos. He named Deel, Affirm and Replit Inc. among its larger customers, saying they have cut average time-to-hire by more than 75 percent.

The new agent, fillmore, researches prospective candidates, builds target lists, writes personalized outreach emails, manages follow-up conversations and schedules meetings with interested candidates. It is generally available and operates entirely within Slack. Magos said automating that work makes recruiting "always-on, while people stay in control of the decisions that matter."

Metaview said it has three priorities: adding agents specialized for more parts of the recruiting process; opening a New York City office and expanding a workforce that currently numbers about 80 people; and extending its 10x Recruiting training program for human recruiters. Magos said the company plans to have more than 250 employees by the end of next year and is hiring in engineering, product, design and go-to-market roles. "The shift to agentic recruiting requires a new skill set, not just new software," he said. "The best teams of the next decade will be built by people who know how to use these tools well."
