Mike Flanagan's Carrie Arrives on Prime Video October 7 With All Eight Episodes
Mike Flanagan's modern-day adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie lands on Prime Video on October 7, with all eight episodes released at once, according to TechRadar.
The series stars Summer H Howell as Carrie White, the role originated in King's 1974 novel. She is joined by Matthew Lillard, known for the Scream films, and Samantha Sloyan, who appeared in Flanagan's Netflix series Midnight Mass.
TechRadar reported that Flanagan's version moves the story into the modern era, with social media playing a significant part in the bullying Carrie faces before the prom scene that ends the story. The outlet did not give further plot details beyond that change of setting.
New titles on Prime Video typically appear at midnight Pacific Time, and TechRadar listed the expected local release times on that basis. Viewers in the United States and Canada were given 12am PT, in the United Kingdom 8am BST, in India 12:30pm IST, in Singapore 3pm SGT, in Australia 5pm AEDT and in New Zealand 8pm NZDT, all on October 7.
All eight episodes will be posted on the same day rather than on a weekly schedule. TechRadar listed the episode titles as First Period, Foreign Language, Social Studies, Dramatic Arts, Physical Education, Home Economics, Romantic Literature and AP Physics, each dated October 7, 2026.
The release falls ahead of Halloween, alongside other horror titles added to the service in October. Flanagan, whose previous television work includes the Netflix series Midnight Mass, wrote and directed the adaptation. TechRadar did not report a separate broadcast or theatrical window for the series.
