MobLand Season 2 Cast Desensitised to Brosnan and Mirren Swearing, Tease 'Even Weirder' Scenes

The season picks up Conrad's (Brosnan) feud with Kevin (Paddy Considine) as it intensifies, drawing new fixer Frankie (Johnny Flynn) into the conflict. Boone also described Eddie's relationship with his grandmother Maeve (Mirren) as bizarre. The two rarely cross paths, but when they do, their scenes carry an uncomfortable chemistry that he compared to Oedipus levels. He said the outlandish swearing is only a gateway to more of those scenes in season 2, and that they go further.

'Keep tuning into season 2 because things just get weirder and weirder,' Boone said. 'You ain't seen nothing yet. In season 1, we were all getting to know each other, so to then come back for season 2, you have that added level of comfort. We're all pals now.' He added that reading a 'really meaty, shocking or strange scene' and then playing it with 'a national treasure like Dame Helen Mirren is surreal, but amazing.'
