Momenta, XHEART and QNX Partner for Safety-Certified Autonomous Driving Platform
Momenta, XHEART and QNX announced a partnership to build a production-ready autonomous driving platform meeting global safety standards, including ISO 26262 ASIL D certification and Europe's UN R171.
Under the partnership, Momenta contributes its full-stack autonomous driving algorithms, XHEART provides its automotive-grade system-on-chip (SoC) X7, and QNX supplies its safety-certified operating system based on QNX SDP 8.0. The solution has already passed TÜV Rheinland's ISO 26262 ASIL D functional safety certification, the highest level, providing a compliance foundation for vehicles targeting international markets, particularly the European UN R171 (Driver Control Assistance Systems, DCAS) requirements.
As major global markets tighten regulations on advanced driver assistance systems, deep adaptation of foundational software, chips and algorithms has become a key prerequisite for mass production. The integrated solution will be open to global mainstream automakers, promoting the large-scale rollout of high-level assisted driving functions.
In comments, Momenta senior vice president Sun Huan said: "The global large-scale deployment of physical AI must be built on safety. Our production solution with XHEART and QNX ranks among the world's leading safety standards, helping automakers expand into international markets with confidence."
Grant Courville, senior vice president of products and strategy at QNX, said: "Momenta and XHEART are powering the next generation of physical AI technology, and QNX is honored to be the safety-certified operating system underpinning this future." Li Zonglin, CEO of XHEART, added: "The deployment of next-generation autonomous driving technology requires the computing power of AI-native chips. Our X7 SoC, combined with the certified QNX operating system and Momenta's algorithms, offers automakers a solution that balances performance, safety and scalability."
