Most October Prime Day deals remain across Apple, Sony and Google

The Verge reported Oct. 8 that most October Prime Day deals remain, including Apple Macs and AirPods, Sony headphones and Google devices. Some need Prime, and many are at Best Buy, Walmart, Target or manufacturers.

The sale is not uniform. Some Amazon deals require a Prime subscription, while others do not. Many of the same offers are available on competing sites, including Best Buy, Walmart and Target, and in some cases directly from manufacturers.

Sony's WH-1000XM5 headphones are priced at $198 at Amazon and Best Buy, down from $399.99. The Verge said the XM5 delivers better audio and noise cancellation than the XM4 and the refreshed XM4C, though it is not as compact. Apple's AirPods Pro 3 are $179 at Amazon and Walmart, reduced from $249. The earbuds have a new design that improves fit, stronger noise cancellation, better bass and fairly accurate heart rate sensors, according to the report.

Apple's 13-inch MacBook Air with the M5 chip is $1,099 at Amazon and Best Buy, down from $1,299. The Verge reported that the latest MacBook Air is more powerful than prior models, offers double the base storage at 512GB and supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The M6 Mac Mini is $779 at Amazon, reduced from $899. The M6 chip is about 20 percent faster than the M4, while the desktop keeps the same small size as the previous generation, the report said.

Other Apple products are also discounted. The Apple Watch SE 3 is $199 at Amazon, down from $249, and adds an always-on display, a wrist-temperature sensor, a more powerful processor and fast charging. The Apple Watch Series 12 starts at $349.99 at Amazon for the 42mm GPS model, down from $399; the 42mm 5G plus GPS model is $489, reduced from $499. The iPhone Air, Apple's thinnest iPhone at 5.6mm, is $839.99 at Best Buy for the 256GB model, down from $999.99. It has a 6.5-inch ProMotion display, a 48MP fusion camera and an 18MP front camera with Center Stage support, but a single rear camera and unimpressive battery life, according to The Verge. The iPhone 16E is $519.99 at Best Buy for 128GB, down from $599.99.

In Google's lineup, the Pixel Watch 5 is $349.99 at Amazon and $350 at Google and Best Buy, down from $399.99. The Verge said the smartwatch launched in August and has already received a large price drop; compared with the fourth iteration, it has superior GPS and gesture controls. The Google Pixel 11 Pro is $849 at Amazon and Best Buy, down from $1,099. The report said it offers better picture quality and the possibility that Google will improve its HiLight LED feature.

For gaming and accessories, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 handheld is $999.99 at Costco for members, down from $1,699, described as the biggest price drop yet for one of the most powerful gaming handhelds. The Belkin Charging Case Pro is $84.99 at Amazon in sand, reduced from $99.99. It combines a battery with a kickstand and a built-in display, though it will not charge a Switch 2 faster than a cheaper Belkin option. Anker's Laptop Power Bank is $89.99 for Anker site members, down from $119.99. It has a 25,000mAh capacity, two built-in USB-C cables, one retractable, plus one USB-C and one USB-A port, and tops out at 165W when charging two devices or 130W when charging three or four.

Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra is $949.99 at Amazon for the 256GB model, down from $1,299.99, and $1,079.99 at Best Buy for the same storage, down from $1,299.99. The 512GB model is $1,279.99 at Amazon, reduced from $1,499.99. The Verge noted that Samsung recently raised prices across its S26 phones, but the Ultra is available at one of its best prices of the year. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is $1,549.99 at Amazon, down from $1,899.99, described as its biggest discount to date and as the closest thing to an iPhone Duo on the Android side in the US. Bose QuietComfort Headphones Gen 2 are $319 at Amazon and Best Buy, down from $359.

The Verge said it would return to regular deal coverage the following day.
