Motorola Teases Signature 27 Camera Island a Day Before Expected Snapdragon Summit Debut
Motorola has posted a teaser image of the Signature 27's rear camera island, a day before the flagship is expected to launch at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit. The phone may be the company's first Signature model to reach the US.
The Motorola US account posted an image on X showing part of the phone's rear panel, with the camera island as the focal point. Four sensors sit on the module, along with what is presumably the LED flash, on an island that Android Authority described as mammoth. The outlet wrote that the arrangement of the sensors is likely to trigger trypophobia for some users.
Motorola plans to release the new flagship at the Snapdragon Summit, which kicks off on September 22. Recent rumors point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip powering the phone, the same processor expected to be unveiled during Qualcomm's annual event.
Motorola released its Signature flagship in some markets earlier this year, though it skipped a US release. Recent teasers suggest the company may change that with the Signature 27, which is scheduled to break cover on Tuesday.
Ahead of the launch, Motorola has not confirmed pricing, availability or full specifications for the device. The teaser image published Monday focuses only on the rear camera housing; no details about the sensors themselves were disclosed.
