MSI launches 16-inch Prestige N16 Flip AI+ with Nvidia RTX Spark, up to 128GB RAM
MSI launched the Prestige N16 Flip AI+, a 16-inch RTX Spark convertible with up to 128GB RAM and a 2TB SSD, joining Microsoft, Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS and Acer in Nvidia's new laptop ecosystem. Prices start at $3,299 in the US.
All three configurations of the Prestige N16 Flip AI+ use Nvidia's 20-core RTX Spark N1X processor and a GPU with 6,144 cores. The 16-inch Tandem OLED touchscreen has a 3,840 × 2,400 resolution, a variable refresh rate between 30 Hz and 120 Hz, and a peak HDR brightness of 1,000 nits. MSI fits the hardware into a convertible chassis that weighs 1.9 kg and measures 357.7 × 254.3 mm, with thickness ranging from 13.9 mm to 16.9 mm. A 99.9 Wh battery supports charging at up to 140 W, but MSI has not specified battery endurance or the time required for a full recharge.
The differences between the three models are memory and storage. The base version has 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. The midrange version raises memory to 64 GB without changing storage capacity. The top configuration doubles memory again to 128 GB and increases storage to 2 TB.
MSI has opened preorders through authorized retailers, with availability varying by market. In the United States, the laptop starts at $3,299. In the UK, buyers pay £3,099 for the 32 GB model with 1 TB storage, while the 64 GB version costs £4,099, a £1,000 increase over the entry configuration. Eurozone pricing starts at €3,899.90 for the 32 GB model and rises to €5,099.90 for the 64 GB version; the highest configuration, with 128 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage, costs €7,999.90 and is more than twice the entry model's price.
The Prestige N16 Flip AI+ enters a market where several PC makers have already introduced or announced RTX Spark laptops. Microsoft's Surface Laptop Ultra uses a 15-inch mini-LED display. ASUS has placed RTX Spark hardware in its creator-oriented ProArt P14 and P16. Dell uses the XPS 16, HP has put the processor in the larger OmniBook Ultra 16, and Lenovo's Yoga 9n 2-in-1 combines RTX Spark hardware with a 360-degree design. Acer has entered the RTX Spark ecosystem with a compact desktop design, although that product does not compete directly with MSI's convertible.
MSI's main distinction is its combination of a convertible form factor, a 128 GB memory option and a high-resolution Tandem OLED display. TechRadar reported the details via Notebookcheck.
