NCIS: Origins Season 3 Debuts on CBS as Streaming Paths Differ by Country

NCIS: Origins season 3 premiered Oct. 6 on CBS at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with Paramount+ and live TV services carrying it in the US.

In the United States, viewers who have CBS through cable can watch on linear TV or on demand on the CBS website. Cord-cutters can stream the show live on Paramount+ Premium at $13.99 per month, or watch episodes the following day on the Paramount+ Essential tier at $8.99 per month. CBS is also carried on Fubo, YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV, and TechRadar said those services offer free trial periods, with YouTube TV currently offering a 21-day free trial. A Walmart Plus 30-day trial for $1 includes a Paramount Plus Essential or Peacock Premium package, and selecting Paramount+ allows viewers to watch for that dollar, according to the guide.

For viewers outside the United States, TechRadar recommends using a VPN to access the same streaming services they would normally use at home. The guide names NordVPN as its top choice, citing a 75% discount and three extra months free, and says it can unlock Paramount Plus. TechRadar added that it tests and reviews VPN services for legal recreational uses and does not support or condone illegal or malicious use, nor does it endorse consuming pirated paid content.

In Canada, the guide said season 23 of NCIS will air on Global TV with episodes released in the same pattern as the US. Cord-cutters can use Stack TV, which carries a number of channels including Global TV and is available via Prime Video, Fubo and other services. The series will also appear on Paramount+ in Canada from October 13.

In Australia, fans can watch episodes of NCIS: Origins season 3 via Paramount+ from October 7, according to the guide. In the UK, the season will not air or stream, so viewers there would need an alternative method to catch the show. US viewers in the UK can still use a VPN to stream on their usual service from abroad, TechRadar said.

The season follows a present-day mystery that forces the now-retired Leroy Jethro Gibbs to look back to his prime years in the 1990s at Camp Pendleton to solve the case. Mark Harmon plays the older Gibbs, while Austin Stowell plays Special Agent Leroy Jethro. The cast also includes Kyle Schmid as Special Agent Mike Franks, Mariel Molino as Special Agent Cecilia “Lala” Dominguez, Tyla Abercrumbie as Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo Hayes, Diany Rodriguez as Special Agent Vera Strickland, Caleb Foote as Special Agent Bernard “Randy” Randolf, and Sean Harmon as Agent Casey Bloom. Sean Harmon is Mark Harmon’s son, and his arrival as Casey Bloom is set to change the show’s dynamics, according to TechRadar.
