The catalog is included with every Netflix tier, 9to5Mac reported, including the most affordable “Standard with ads” plan at $8.99 per month. Netflix also includes mobile and TV game access across its subscription options, the report said, so game access does not require a separate payment beyond the monthly Netflix plan.

For TV games, Netflix offers a dedicated iPhone and iPad app called Netflix Game Controller. The app turns a phone or tablet into an input device for games on supported versions of the Netflix smart TV app, according to 9to5Mac. Netflix also has an iPhone and iPad app called Netflix Playground, which is dedicated to mini-games for younger kids. In addition, the company offers Netflix Puzzled: Logic Games, which does not require a subscription, and Netflix Stories.

Beyond those apps, Netflix supports a catalog of over 80 iPhone and iPad games, all available on the App Store. After downloading a game, users sign in with their Netflix email and password to play. The report organizes the current list into several groups: big games worth starting with; games based on Netflix shows and movies; family, creative, and cozy games; puzzles, cards, and quick games; action, sports, and arcade games; simulation, strategy, and management games; and reality TV and social games.
