Nintendo's 'Customer Appreciation' Sale Discounts Switch Games and Accessories Through Sept. 26

Nintendo is discounting Switch games and accessories through Sept. 26, using tariff-related U.S. refunds, The Verge reports.

The sale includes some of Nintendo's best-known titles for the original Switch and a few Switch 2 titles. The most notable offers include the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe digital bundle with the Booster Course Pass for just under $60 at Amazon and Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for $49 at Amazon, Nintendo and Best Buy, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons with its DLC for $60 at Nintendo, according to The Verge.

Switch 2 Editions are not currently discounted, but upgrade packs are available at lower prices. The Tears of the Kingdom upgrade pack costs $9.99 at Amazon, and the Animal Crossing: New Horizons upgrade pack costs $4.99 at Amazon, the report said. Nintendo has also created a dedicated page listing all of the discounts.

Other physical and digital discounts include Tears of the Kingdom for $48.99 at Best Buy and Target, down from $69.99; Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $41.99 at Best Buy, down from $59.99; and Nintendo Alarmo for $76.99 at Best Buy and Nintendo, down from $99.99. The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is priced at $55.97 at Amazon and Walmart and $55.99 at Best Buy, compared with its $69.99 list price.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is $41.97 at Amazon for the Switch version and $41.99 at Best Buy for Nintendo Switch, down from $59.88 and $59.99, respectively. The Switch 2 version is $50.99 at Amazon, down from $69. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is available digitally for $41.97 at Amazon and $41.99 at Best Buy, down from $59.99.

Super Mario Odyssey is $41.97 at Walmart and $41.99 at Best Buy and Target, down from $59.99. Splatoon 3 is $41.97 at Amazon, $41.99 at Best Buy and $50.99 at Target, down from $59.99 for physical or digital versions.

The Verge noted that Nintendo games and accessories typically stay close to list price, making the discounts unusual, especially this far ahead of the holiday season. The sale ends Sept. 26 at 8:59 p.m. PT.
