Nitrodeck Launcher Update Coming to Dual-Screen Android Handhelds

Affordable Android-based gaming handhelds have been gaining in popularity and come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. A handful of them have two screens, which makes them suited to emulating games that originally appeared on the dual-screen Nintendo DS.

Nitrodeck Launcher is themed around the Nintendo DS, and the update is intended to extend its compatibility to Android handhelds that come with two screens. Mr. Rubik has been showing off the update for that purpose, with the Anbernic RG DS serving as the demonstration device in the published video.

Android-based gaming handhelds with lower prices have become more common, and manufacturers have released devices in different form factors. Most use a single screen, but some include two displays, allowing software designed for the Nintendo DS to be presented in a layout closer to the original hardware.
