Noise Master Buds Open: Bose-Tuned Open Earbuds Debut at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026, Noise unveiled its first open-style earbuds, the Master Buds Open, featuring Bose-tuned sound at around €119, as reported by TechRadar.

These buds are Noise's first in the open-ear segment and join its Master series, which previously included over-ear headphones and in-ear buds also made with Bose's help. Bose has invested in Noise, and the two firms have already produced several audio products together, such as the Master Buds 2 and Master Buds Max.

The Master Buds Open are set to retail for approximately €119 (around $140 or £100), significantly cheaper than Bose's own Ultra Open Earbuds, which cost $299 / £299 / AU$449.95. TechRadar notes that while the new buds don't match the build and sound quality of flagship Bose products, the collaboration enhances Noise's perceived value in competitive markets like the US, UK, and EU.

TechRadar's journalist tried a prototype at the trade show. The units made a strong first impression with a sleek, almost futuristic design and metallic detailing, especially in the silver colorway. They felt comfortable and secure during wear, avoiding the tightness or looseness often found in clip-on designs.

In terms of sound, the journalist used the Sound by Bose EQ and found vocals clear, bass fairly prominent for open ears, and mid-range guitars well separated. However, treble was forward, and while bass was adequately weighted, it didn't provide the pounding low-end of some top-tier earbuds. The audio wasn't overwhelmingly impressive but performed well given the price.

A surprising highlight was the companion app's feature set. It includes spatial audio, a Gaming Mode for low latency, customizable touch controls, multipoint connection, Find My Device, a Focus Mode to lock controls, a fully customizable equalizer, and a built-in AI assistant. These features add functionality rarely seen at this price point.

Although the Master Buds Open will face stiff competition from similarly priced rivals like the Anker Soundcore AeroClip, the journalist was impressed by their comfort, looks, and app integration.
