Nokia 300 Charge combines basic phone with 10W powerbank mode
Nokia's new 300 Charge is a basic phone that doubles as a 10W powerbank with a 3,700mAh battery and LED flashlight, according to Engadget.
The phone's standout feature is a dedicated "powerbank mode" that enables 10W reverse-wired charging through an included 4-in-1 cable with Micro USB, USB-C and USB-A adapters. Engadget notes the battery may not be enough as a primary power source for heavy travelers, but it could be useful in a pinch.
Adding to its utility is a built-in LED flashlight that Nokia says is up to four times brighter than the one in the Nokia 105. The 300 Charge is described as both "rugged" and "sleek," though Engadget suggests only the former is an accurate descriptor, thanks to a textured grip on the back and sides.
Aside from these extras, the 300 Charge is a very basic phone. It runs on a Unisoc SC6531E chipset, includes 4GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, and has a QVGA camera and a 2.4-inch display. It also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.
There is currently no word on a US release, but Engadget expects a sub-$50 price tag if the phone arrives there in the future.
