NordVPN early Black Friday deal adds three months to two-year plans
NordVPN's early Black Friday sale offers up to 78% off and three extra months on two-year plans, TechRadar reports.
TechRadar reported on Oct. 22 that the sale covers the Complete and Prime tiers; Prime is sold as Ultimate Max in the UK. Both bundles include antivirus, scam and spam protection, ad blocking, a password manager, 1TB of encrypted cloud storage and other security tools. The Prime and Ultimate Max plan also adds cyber insurance against identity theft, according to the report.
The plans include servers in more than 120 countries, Threat Protection antivirus with malware and phishing defenses, ad and tracker blocking, Dark Web Monitor Pro, call and message scam protection and NordPass, TechRadar said. All plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. TechRadar listed a UK price of £161.73, reduced from £561.33.
TechRadar described the promotion as Nord's early Black Friday sale and said the prices are likely to be as good as they will get for some time. It said the offer is one of the cheapest ways to get NordVPN's full security bundle, including its antivirus package. The plans renew at full price after the first 27 months unless the customer cancels or switches, and TechRadar advised setting a reminder.
In TechRadar's review, NordVPN received 4.5 stars. Lab testing found consistently strong speeds and near-flawless streaming unblocking, and TechRadar said its apps are simple and consistent and its phishing protection proved strong. The review also flagged that features vary across platforms and that some extras, such as scam call protection, currently work only on Android.
TechRadar recommended the Prime and Ultimate Max tier for professionals and frequent flyers who want to use public and hotel Wi-Fi securely, stream content and get security tools without a monthly subscription. It said buyers who need only a VPN should consider the Basic plan, which is a little cheaper.
