NordVPN Names Crystal Palace as Official VPN Partner in Second Premier League Deal Within a Week
NordVPN has signed a partnership with Crystal Palace as its Official VPN Partner, the company's second Premier League deal in a week, aimed at educating fans on online security.
The collaboration will feature digital activations intended to educate Crystal Palace supporters about online security, particularly when they connect to unsecured public Wi-Fi networks on matchdays. The club says it wants to help fans defend against phishing, scams, malware, and online trackers.
A VPN encrypts internet traffic and hides the user's IP address, making it harder for third parties to intercept data. TechRadar noted that this is especially relevant in crowded environments such as football stadiums, where thousands of supporters often use the same vulnerable public Wi-Fi to check live scores, place bets or message friends.
Paul O'Brien, Crystal Palace's Chief Commercial Officer, said in a statement: "The way supporters engage with the club and with one another is increasingly digital, making online privacy and security more important than ever. Through this partnership, we hope to provide our supporters with useful and accessible information that helps them better understand online risks and take straightforward steps to protect themselves and their personal information."

The deal extends NordVPN's recent push into the Premier League. TechRadar reported that the provider had just secured a similar partnership with Aston Villa, with the same goal of protecting matchday browsing. The broader cybersecurity industry is increasingly targeting sports fans, as stadiums host large numbers of connected devices.
