Nous Research Confirms $1.5B Valuation, Launches AI Agents for Business Users
Nous Research raised a $90M Series B at a $1.5B valuation and launched Hermes for Businesses, moving its open-source AI agent into the enterprise.
The round was led by Robot Ventures, with participation from Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung and 1789 Capital, where Donald Trump Jr. is a partner. The financing brings total funding for the three-year-old startup to $158 million.
Hermes has been widely adopted by developers and individual users, and the company estimates the open-source agent has been cloned more than 24 million times and accounts for roughly 2.5 percent of global AI token usage.
Nous Research said the new capital will fund its push into the enterprise sector through "Hermes for Businesses," a product that lets companies deploy customized AI agents capable of handling multi-step workflows while keeping their data private and secure.
The startup was at roughly $36 million in annualized revenue by mid-September 2026 and expects to pass $100 million before the end of 2026, The Wall Street Journal reported. The revenue figures were reported by the newspaper rather than disclosed by the company.
