Nvidia launches open models for enterprise agents and local AI PCs

Nvidia launched open-weight Nemotron 3.5 Super VL for enterprise agents and Bolt models for local AI PCs.

Nvidia said Super VL is a large model geared for enterprise agents. While it uses fewer parameters than the Nemotron 3 Ultra model, Nvidia says it can deliver similar accuracy in instruction-following and tool-use tasks.

The two Bolt models are intended to run locally on new AI PCs using the Nvidia RTX Spark chip and on workstations running the DGX Spark. Nvidia said such PCs, aimed at consumers, programmers and enterprise knowledge workers, are being released now through partners including Microsoft and Dell.

“Any organization that wants to run agents on Nvidia infrastructure now has an open, optimized model for their tier without having to choose between capability and deployability,” Nvidia’s vice president of Open Models and Software, Kari Briski, wrote in the blog post announcing the models.

Nvidia claims Super VL completes tasks faster than competing models from Anthropic and OpenAI—Opus 5, GPT 6.1 Sol, Luna and Astra—when post-trained on specific agentic tasks. Those tasks include document intelligence, financial accounting, scientific experimentation, medical insurance claims and security attack resilience. Nvidia listed Skydance, EY, Ramp, Crowdstrike, Perplexity and Salesforce as companies using Super VL.

The launch adds to Nvidia’s broader Nemotron family, which covers multimodal AI, reasoning, coding, math and enterprise automation. Nvidia is also promoting open models as fast-growing proprietary AI labs—some of which are its customers and investments—look to chips and AI systems from AWS’s Trainium, Cerebras and their own designs.

“Unlike closed frontier models, organizations can post-train Super VL on their own data, deploy it on their own infrastructure and own what they build,” Briski wrote.

With the smaller local PC models, Nvidia is also pushing consumer AI assistants. Privacy-weary consumers may not want agents to have deep access to information about families, health and finances, the report said. Nvidia hopes locally run models and agents will let PC users “delegate everyday projects … without sending those workloads to the cloud,” Briski wrote.

Of the two Bolt models, Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B-A9B 24GB is a 74-billion-parameter model designed for local agentic tasks, balancing speed with reasoning to handle multistep reasoning, tool calling and web browsing. The smallest, Bolt E4B, is aimed at conversational agents. Nvidia said Super VL and Bolt 74B-A9B are available now, while Bolt E4B is coming later this month.
