Nvidia partners with data center developer Cloverleaf Infrastructure

Nvidia announced a partnership with Cloverleaf Infrastructure to support AI data center growth, reportedly investing hundreds of millions for a minority stake.

The companies did not disclose terms of the deal. The Wall Street Journal reported that Nvidia’s investment in Cloverleaf could add up to several hundred million dollars, while Reuters reported that the chipmaker now owns a minority stake in the company. TechCrunch said it reached out to Nvidia for more information.

The announcement is part of Nvidia’s broader push to use its profits to keep the AI buildout going. Nvidia has increasingly taken a direct role in financing and developing AI data centers that buy its systems. Earlier this week, the company said it would invest $1.5 billion in SB Energy, an OpenAI-linked data center project based in Ohio.
