TechRadar rated the puzzle Hard and reported solving it with one hint. The writer said he took a hint after being puzzled by the theme, then connected Bummer and completed the board. For Sunday, October 4, game #945, the answers were Pong, Frogger, Asteroids, Centipede and Scramble, with the spangram First: ArcadeGames.
Quordle game #1715 had three different vowels, no repeated letters, and one of Q, Z, X or J, TechRadar said. Three of the four answers began with the same letter: S, S, S and H. The answers were Sixth, Speak, Sedan and Heist. TechRadar noted that the letter X appeared and almost caught the writer out, while the three same starting letters were even rarer. The Daily Sequence answers were Dimly, Crash, Ebony and Opium. For Sunday, October 4, game #1714, the answers were Infer, Rainy, Thing and Arena.
TechRadar described Connections as a game that challenges players to find groups of four items sharing something in common, with green the easiest, yellow a little harder, blue often tough and purple usually very difficult. Players can make up to four mistakes and can solve the final group by elimination. Strands is part of the NYT Games stable and has been running for a year. Quordle began as one of the original Wordle alternatives and has passed 1,500 games.
