One UI 9's Call Brief now shows the other party's local time during international calls

One UI 9's Call Brief now shows the other party's local time for international calls; the feature recently reached the Galaxy S26 series via beta.

The arrival comes amid a wider One UI 9 beta push. After initially limiting the beta to the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung added several older S and Z series devices to the program, suggesting a stable release may not be far off. Android Authority said the seventh One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S26 series, rolled out around the end of August, brings a set of Fold 8 features to the S series, including My FanCam, Call Brief, custom cards in Now Brief, and more.

Call Brief is designed to show useful information related to the call, such as events and messages, using Personal Data Intelligence on One UI 9 devices. On X, users including @FrankOneDigital and @smasithick noticed that Call Brief also surfaces the caller’s local time when that person is in a different time zone. In testing on a Galaxy Z Fold 8, Android Authority observed that the other party’s local time also appears while dialing an international number, before the call has started.
