OnePlus rolls out stable Android 17-based Color OS 17 to OnePlus 15, Pad 4 ahead of schedule
OnePlus began stable Android 17-based Color OS 17 rollout for OnePlus 15 and Pad 4 ahead of Oct. 29, beta users first.
The stable build is arriving on retail OnePlus 15 units with model number CPH2745, according to a OnePlus Community announcement and user reports on Reddit cited by Android Authority. Users who took part in the open beta track appear to be among the first to receive the over-the-air transition, which moves their devices from preview software to the stable release.
The update brings revamped animations, enhanced quick-settings panels, deeper customization, updated privacy controls and improved background process optimization for better battery efficiency, Android Authority reported. OnePlus had scheduled the rollout to begin on October 29; the company's announcement and multiple user reports confirm that stable builds are already reaching retail units after a brief OnePlus 15 Color OS 17 Open Beta period.
The earlier release aligns with the broader Color OS 17 rollout schedule for OnePlus and realme, according to the report. The OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Pad 4 were listed as receiving the stable update ahead of their scheduled October 29 rollout date.
