OpenAI models to arrive on Google Cloud and Antigravity
OpenAI’s GPT 6 and 6.1 models will soon arrive on Google Cloud and in Antigravity, Ars Technica reports.
For enterprise customers and AI enthusiasts, OpenAI’s latest model will appear in Google’s “Model Garden” in the coming weeks, Ars Technica reported. The catalog already lists more than 200 options, including Google’s Gemini models and open models such as Mistral, Llama and Gemma. Anthropic’s Claude AI has also been available there for some time. Google says it is now the only large cloud provider offering access to all three leading closed LLMs.
OpenAI said Microsoft continues to be its primary cloud partner. Even so, the full suite of current GPT 6 and 6.1 models—Astra, Sol and Luna—will launch on Google Cloud, according to the report. Astra will cost the most to run. Google’s system supports dynamically moving workloads between LLMs based on performance, latency and efficiency, Ars Technica reported.
The arrangement gives Google Cloud customers more model options and puts GPT models inside Antigravity. Google would prefer customers to use its Gemini models with Google Cloud services, according to Ars Technica, but the new arrangement adds OpenAI’s models to its catalog.
