OpenAI Rolls Out GPT-6 in ChatGPT With New Intelligent UI
OpenAI is rolling out new GPT-6 models in ChatGPT with Intelligent UI, which lets the chatbot combine text, graphics, buttons, forms, charts, and interactive tools in responses. Paid users get access first, with Free and Go users following on October 8.
9to5Mac reported that GPT-6 Sol is rolling out to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers, while GPT-6 Luna will begin reaching Free and Go users tomorrow. Android Authority described the rollout more broadly as GPT-6 reaching Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users now, with Free and Go users following on October 8. According to 9to5Mac, the new GPT-6 models are tuned for everyday conversation and introduce Intelligent UI.
OpenAI said the format of a response depends on the question. A comparison might work best side by side, while an explanation might be easier to understand through an interactive diagram. When plain text is the most useful answer, ChatGPT can still provide that. Android Authority reported that examples include interactive bike diagrams, adjustable cooking plans, and calculators.
For more complex prompts, ChatGPT can generate interactive widgets that let users explore concepts or adjust inputs to see how results change, according to 9to5Mac. The company also said ChatGPT can create interactive tools directly within a conversation, such as calculators, bill splitters, and games. With GPT-6, the chatbot can begin answering while it continues to think, progressively adding information to the response instead of waiting for the entire reasoning process to finish.
The rollout follows OpenAI's introduction of the first GPT-6 models last month, 9to5Mac reported. Android Authority reported that OpenAI has been expanding ChatGPT beyond its original chat format, including shared Spaces for collaborative work and Dots that can keep working across apps even after a user leaves a conversation. The new models and Intelligent UI bring that push into the chat experience itself, Android Authority said.
Android Authority called the update GPT-6's biggest visual makeover yet. Both reports said the new capability is part of OpenAI's effort to make ChatGPT's answers more interactive and adaptable to the question being asked.
