Paramount Plus is quietly testing a limited free, ad-supported streaming option for Android users, allowing access to selected episodes without a subscription.

The service currently offers just two paid tiers: ad-free Premium for $14 per month and Essential with ads for $9 per month. The new test reportedly gives some Android users access to a limited selection of ad-supported episodes at no cost.

The move was first reported by Cord Cutters News. So far, Paramount does not appear to be promoting the free streaming method, suggesting the test is still in a quiet early phase.

The trial comes as streaming prices continue rising across the industry, and platforms frequently add and remove content, prompting many users to reconsider what they are willing to pay for.
