TechCrunch reported that the lineup includes four models. The entry-level Granary 2 costs $129.99 and offers app-controlled feeding, precise portioning and intake tracking. The $189.99 Granary 2 Vision, which the reviewer tested, adds an AI-powered camera that can recognize up to 10 cats and track each pet's individual eating habits. The $199.99 Vision Duo is aimed at multi-pet households with two separate dispensing chutes and bowls. The most expensive model, the Granary 2 X at $249.99, uses AI recognition for individualized portioning for pets with specific dietary needs, according to the company.

The biggest upgrade across the series is a built-in scale. TechCrunch said the feeder can measure food in the tray, so it tracks not only how much was dispensed but how much remains in the bowl. That gives it a better way to estimate actual consumption. A traditional automatic feeder can report that it released a meal at a set time, but it cannot necessarily say whether a cat ate it, how much it ate or how long it took to finish.

The Granary 2 tracks intake, eating duration, feeding frequency, favorite eating times and eating speed, according to the review. The companion app builds a picture of a pet's normal eating patterns with daily, weekly, monthly and yearly views. TechCrunch said this could make it easier to notice subtle changes in appetite or routine.

Two main feeding modes are available. Smart Refill Mode keeps the bowl supplied with smaller, fresh portions throughout the day and stops once the daily food limit is reached, which TechCrunch said may suit cats that prefer to graze. Scheduled Mode allows owners to set specific feeding times and portion sizes. A manual feeding button dispenses food outside the normal schedule.

The tested Vision model adds AI camera recognition that associates a meal with the correct pet profile and opens the feeder only when the correct pet is recognized. The 1080p camera has night vision and two-way audio, and owners can record a short message that plays from the feeder. The feeder also sends app alerts for low battery power, low food levels and food jams, and it has a built-in rechargeable backup battery for power outages, TechCrunch reported.

Some advanced features require subscriptions, however. TechCrunch said certain health tracking and monitoring features need a Petlibro Care subscription starting at $59.99 per year, while cloud recording and playback on camera-equipped models require a Video Cloud plan at $119.99 per year.

TechCrunch's reviewer said the Granary 2 Vision was one of the best feeders the reviewer had tested. For a more affordable option, the review pointed to Pawsync's $79.99 feeder, which uses a built-in scale for accurate portions and settings designed to help prevent underfeeding and overfeeding.
