Philips 24-Inch 100Hz Monitor Drops to $75 for Labor Day
TechRadar reports the Philips 241V8LB 24-inch monitor is on sale for $75 on Amazon during Labor Day, offering a 100Hz refresh rate at a budget price.
The 23.8-inch Full HD (1920x1080) VA panel features a 100Hz refresh rate, a 4ms response time, and Adaptive Sync support. TechRadar notes that most competing monitors at this price point settle for 60Hz or 75Hz panels, making the 100Hz refresh rate a genuine step up for everyday tasks such as office work, browsing, and light gaming.
The monitor also has a virtually frameless design on three sides, which helps reduce visual gaps when using multiple screens side by side. Connectivity is limited to one HDMI 1.4 port and VGA, with no USB-C or DisplayPort options. The VA panel provides deeper blacks and stronger contrast than IPS displays but may show color shifts at extreme viewing angles.
According to TechRadar, the price drop from $89.99 to $74.99 represents a discount of about 17 percent. While not a dramatic markdown, the monitor was already positioned as a budget option, and the sale price places it among the cheaper 24-inch 100Hz models currently available.
The monitor comes with a 4-year advance replacement warranty, which TechRadar points out is longer than the one- to three-year coverage typical for budget monitors in this range.
