Philips LatteGo 2300 espresso machine gets $200 discount at Amazon for Labor Day

The LatteGo system is highlighted as exceptionally clever and simple to keep clean. Unlike many automatic machines, milk never enters the body of the espresso maker, leaving no internal lines or pipes where milk residue and bacteria can build up. Instead, the user pours milk into a carafe attached to the front of the machine. The carafe has measuring lines that let the user add just enough milk for the drink being brewed, eliminating waste and the need to store an open milk container.

During brewing, the milk is foamed and poured directly into the cup. After the drink is made, the carafe detaches and disassembles into three pieces of hard plastic, all safe to wash on the top rack of a dishwasher. The machine handles the complex parts of brewing automatically, so the user only needs to add coffee beans and water, select a drink, and wait a few minutes.

The LatteGo 2300 has a relatively small menu of four drinks, but the TechRadar editor said she considers this a positive feature because some competing coffee makers overwhelm users with too many choices. The machine still allows customization of volume and strength without requiring lengthy menu navigation.

Cat, TechRadar's homes editor and a Specialty Coffee Association certified barista, said she tests more than a dozen coffee makers each year and is often surprised by how many struggle with essential milk foaming. She recommended the LatteGo 2300 as one of the best coffee makers available during the Labor Day sales, especially at the discounted price.
