Pixel 11 users report static noise bursts in Video Boost recordings
Pixel 11 series owners report periodic static bursts in videos recorded with Video Boost, with a possible workaround involving Audio Zoom.
The report, published on Aug 27, 2026, cites a Reddit user who upgraded to the Pixel 11 Pro XL and noticed the glitch after testing the camera at a house show. The poster said the static bursts appeared every five seconds, and only in videos where Video Boost was enabled.
Video Boost is a Pixel camera feature introduced on the Pixel 8 Pro in 2023. It enhances color, lighting, stabilization, and low-light detail by uploading videos to Google's servers for processing and returning them to the device.
Other Pixel 11 series owners in the Reddit thread said they were experiencing the same problem. One commenter suggested the issue may be related to Audio Zoom, a feature that boosts the sound of the zoomed-in subject while reducing background noise. The original poster later said that after clearing the Camera app's cache and disabling Audio Zoom, the audio glitches no longer appeared in Video Boost recordings.
