Playground Games Says Fable Will Have 60fps Mode on Xbox Series X, but Won't Detail PS5 or PC Settings
Playground confirms 60fps mode for Fable on Xbox Series X, but PS5 and PC settings remain unspecified.
The fantasy role-playing game is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. Fable has been in development for a long time, and Playground has released several trailers, including new gameplay footage, but it has yet to share PC specs or explain how the game will run on consoles. TechRadar reported that the studio also declined to confirm PS5 or PC settings.
During a Q&A session at Gamescom attended by TechRadar Gaming, associate game directors Will Kennedy and Craig Littler said the game will look “great” on all platforms. Asked to elaborate on console edition graphics settings, Littler said, “What we will say is that our approach to all platforms is really the same, in that we want the game to look great wherever you're playing it, and for it to be appropriate for the platform later on.”
The developer then confirmed that the Xbox Series X version will offer a 60fps performance mode, but Littler said, “I don't really want to get into the like in terms of what PC versus Xbox will be like.” He added, “It will look great wherever you go.”
In the same interview, Playground confirmed that Fable will take up to 20 hours to beat. The studio also said the game's life systems offer “limitless” replayability.
No further details about PC specifications, PS5 performance options, or Xbox Series S settings were provided. The Xbox Series X 60fps mode is the only platform-specific performance detail Playground has confirmed so far.
