PopSockets Low Pro Carbon-Texture Black Launches Exclusively on SSPAI

SSPAI said the Low Pro carbon-texture black model keeps the Low Pro's thin and light design. Its surface uses PC material and a carbon-fiber-style texture that adds detail to the dark finish. The texture is intended to blend with black or gray phone cases and to outline the stand's shape on lighter phone backs. The model is aimed at users who prefer dark accessories but find solid colors too plain.

The stand weighs about 20g and is about 2.6mm thick when folded. When opened, it gives fingers a place to rest, allowing users to support the phone with the stand instead of gripping the edges tightly. SSPAI said this can prevent the phone's weight from concentrating on the little finger. The auxiliary grip can be useful for users of large-screen or foldable phones, whether they are scrolling through messages on a commute, taking photos on a walk, or reading on a foldable device. After use, it folds back against the phone, sits flat on a desk without wobbling like a seesaw, and fits easily into a pocket.

The same accessory can switch from a hand grip to a desktop stand supporting landscape and portrait positions. Users can watch videos in landscape during meals, check messages in portrait at work, or adjust the angle for video calls without propping the phone against a cup or tissue box. The adjustable angle also helps with casual photography: on a flat surface, users can set up the phone, frame a shot, and use the timer. SSPAI said these simple recording situations may not require a separate desktop stand.

Because the stand is repeatedly opened and closed, durability is a key point. According to brand-provided test data cited by SSPAI, the grip portion can withstand more than 100,000 open-and-close cycles, while the support function can withstand more than 5,000 use cycles. SSPAI presented the figures as a reference for long-term use.

The carbon-texture black Low Pro is now sold exclusively through SSPAI. SSPAI said orders come with an SSPAI-exclusive sticker. The publication also said a second PopSockets x SSPAI public beta will take place in early October, when the Low Pro phone case will be released and tested; SSPAI will open public beta recruitment again at that time.
