Pride of Britain Awards 2026 to air free on ITV1 and ITVX
The Pride of Britain Awards 2026 airs on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm on 22 October, with Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo hosting.
TechRadar reported that the ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel will feature His Majesty The King, Jude Bellingham, Davina McCall and Alan Carr, along with musical performances including from Blue. The programme focuses on ordinary people who have done extraordinary things over the past year, from caring for loved ones to improving their communities, and recognises fundraisers, lifesavers and brave people of all ages.
UK viewers can watch on ITV1 or via ITVX, which TechRadar said is free but requires registering a free account. It noted that watching ITV in the UK requires a valid TV licence, which also covers digital content.
TechRadar said there is no TV channel or streaming platform showing the awards outside the UK. It added that Britons overseas who want to watch can use a VPN, recommending NordVPN, to access ITVX as if they were at home, subject to the service's terms.
The outlet listed winners including Andrew Franks for Outstanding Bravery, Asif Hasan for Lifetime Achievement, Barry Walden as ITV Fundraiser of the Year, Brandon Hulcoop as King's Trust Young Achiever, Dr Eleanor Prior for Special Recognition and Elaine Oakley for the P&O Cruises Inspiration Award. TechRadar described Franks as a volunteer security guard who tackled a knife-wielding terrorist during an attack on a synagogue, buying time for the congregation to barricade themselves behind doors; Hasan as a world-leading cardiac surgeon; Walden as a lifetime fundraiser who used singing to help raise hundreds of thousands of pounds over 65 years; Hulcoop as a blind young man who launched a business making accessible products for visually impaired people; Prior as a GP injured in a train crash who took lifesaving action before paramedics arrived; and Oakley as a mother who has spent more than a decade transforming the lives of young amputees through football.
