The Tapo MagCam 2K+ is built for wire-free monitoring of a home's exterior. It records in 2K QHD at 2560 x 1440, the report said. The camera includes full-color night vision, built-in spotlights, and infrared night vision for monitoring after dark. Power comes from a 10,000mAh rechargeable battery, and TP-Link says the included solar panel requires only a short period of direct sunlight each day to keep the camera charged.
The kit also includes motion, person, pet, and vehicle detection, customizable activity zones, and instant alerts. Two-way audio lets users speak through the camera. Footage can be stored locally on a microSD card up to 512GB or through optional cloud storage. Its weather-resistant design is intended for outdoor use, and magnetic mounting is designed to make placement and repositioning easier. The camera works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
