Prime Day Soundbar Deals Cut Prices for Sonos, Sony, Bose, JBL and More

Prime Day cuts soundbar prices from Sony, Sonos, Bose, JBL, TCL and Fire TV, per a TechRadar roundup.

In the US, Amazon's own Fire TV Soundbar is priced at $79.99, reduced from $119.99, while in the UK it is £87.99, down from £119.99. TechRadar said in its Fire TV Soundbar review that viewers looking to improve their TV's built-in speakers with a single soundbar would not be disappointed, and that the device takes up little room. The Bose TV Speaker, described as an Amazon best-seller, was also included; TechRadar said it lacks 3D formats such as Atmos or DTS:X but sounds great, looks good and has a built-in bass boost for more cinematic punch.

The Sonos Beam (Gen 2) was called 'the perfect soundbar for smaller spaces' in TechRadar's review. It offers virtual Dolby Atmos, HDMI eARC and integration with Sonos's home theater and multi-room ecosystem, and the roundup presents it as a big improvement over the first generation. The Sony Bravia Theater 6 bundle is a full surround system with a subwoofer and satellite speakers. Its upfiring Atmos drivers are designed to deliver 3D audio, and TechRadar said the Prime Day price addresses the main drawback of the system, which is usually expensive.

JBL features twice in the US roundup. One bundle is built around the JBL Bar 800 and provides 5.1.2 surround sound. TechRadar said it has not reviewed that exact model but liked the larger JBL Bar 1000MK2 and said JBL soundbars deliver engaging, versatile, cinematic audio that can suit unusual room setups. The second bundle centers on the JBL Bar 1000 and offers 7.1.4 channel sound. TechRadar called the system 'fun, powerful and versatile,' citing its connectivity options and the flexibility of its wireless speakers and subwoofer.

TechRadar also highlighted the largest Sonos soundbar in the roundup, describing it at full price as 'the best one-box Dolby Atmos soundbar for the price.' The review cited seriously impressive bass for its compact size, balanced sound with clear dialogue, and convincing Dolby Atmos positioning and 3D audio layering. The roundup did not list a price for that model.

In the UK, the Fire TV Soundbar deal mirrors the US discount. TechRadar said it is a good first soundbar for simple setups. The Majority soundbar and subwoofer combination was also listed, with a spec that includes 5.1 surround sound with wired speakers, Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI eARC and a subwoofer for low-end thump. TechRadar said Majority specializes in useful and affordable home audio products, and the system can also be used with a PC or an external sound source via optical input.

The Sonos Ray is another UK pick. In its Sonos Ray review, TechRadar said the soundbar delivers 'big, well balanced sound' and can be expanded with additional speakers for a surround setup. The Prime Day deal takes a decent amount off the usual recommended retail price, according to the roundup. TechRadar also mentioned a compact 3.1.2 Dolby Atmos soundbar intended for smaller TVs rather than giant ones, though the excerpt did not identify the model or price.
