A new leak suggests Qualcomm’s next flagship chip may be named Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, with prime cores up to 5.01 GHz.
The leaked specs indicate the chip could feature two prime cores clocked at 5.01 GHz, along with three performance cores and three efficiency cores. If accurate, it would become the first smartphone chipset to break the 5 GHz barrier.
The same leak also mentions MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro, which could use two prime cores clocked at 4.55 GHz, alongside three performance and three efficiency cores. Qualcomm and MediaTek are both preparing to launch their latest flagship processors, with improvements expected across the board.
