QuillCue Adds Saved Prompts to Siri AI Through a Custom Keyboard

A new iOS app called QuillCue uses a custom keyboard to store and insert prewritten prompts into Siri AI, aiming to save repetition.

The app was featured in 9to5Mac's Indie App Spotlight series. iOS 27 became available to the public almost two weeks before the report, with Siri AI as its flagship feature. 9to5Mac described Siri AI as a major change from previous Siri versions but said it still has shortcomings. QuillCue aims to address one of those gaps.

QuillCue uses iOS custom keyboards to insert fully prewritten prompts into Siri AI. A user swipes down from the top of the screen, switches to the QuillCue keyboard, selects a prompt, and presses enter. 9to5Mac said this saves time for Siri questions that users ask regularly and do not want to type repeatedly.

One default prompt in the app is for finding nearby coffee shops that allow laptops for remote work. Because that request depends on location, 9to5Mac said it can be useful to fetch new results that the user might not have known about.

Users can pre-write any prompt that Siri AI can handle. 9to5Mac reported that Siri AI currently does not have a concept of skills or learn from usage, so lengthy prompts with multiple steps must be entered again unless saved. QuillCue stores those prompts for reuse and offers folders for sorting different prompts.

The app also allows users to import and export prompt libraries. 9to5Mac said this makes it easy to share prompts with friends or transfer them between devices. QuillCue is free, has no ads or in-app purchases, and its developer, Parker Ortolani, can be followed on X for updates, according to the report.
